Collaging

I've been doing a bunch of collaged faces while in class. The first done in blue pencil and the second in ballpoint pen. I've noticed doing these really forces you to change up shapes and proportions so that you don't get a repetition on the same page of the same type of face. I can see an improvement from the first to the second one, so I'm going to keep doing these and trying different styles, types and shapes - as much as I possibly can. Now, to character design!

Nice stuff!!!, Great control of the ballpoint pen, these seem like very good exercises I should get into the habit of doing them as well. Looking forward to seeing more:)

very cool! are those actually people you observed or you made them up? i might just try that cause when i draw people they tend to all look the same.
