Here's a bunch of doodles I did of different birds, just trying to play with shapes and see what happens. Comments and crits appreciated!

Western

So I've decided I'm going to try to post something up here everyday while I'm on reading week...so for this week.
Here's two quick sketches I did of a cowboy and his love interest.

Coffee Gal

Just a little experiment I wanted to do with a drawing and a photo - got the photo from corbis, so I'm assuming it's public domain. I think it works pretty well.

Storyboards - Character Development

This was an assignment we had to do to show the personality of our character. This is somewhat similar to my lipsync boards, which I will be posting soon - but this centers specifically on the rooster character whereas the lipsync centers more on the girl. As always, comments and crits are more than welcome.

Layout

I haven't posted much (if any) layout on here as of yet. Seeing as how there's a first time for everything - here's a layout I did for my lipsync project, colored and done in what was aiming to be a UPA-ish sort of style. Takes place in a nightclub/bar. As always, comments and crits are encouraged!!

Go Train

A girl and guy from the go train when we went to U of T a couple weeks ago. Subway sketching is really fun - need to make time to go down with Bobby...definitely soon.

Dawg

Here are some sketches I did of my dog Sparky yesterday evening. Trying out a new pen and playing around with gesture. I posted up all the sketches I did - I'm aware that there are a lot, actually most, that suck. But hey, can't have the sweet without the sour. I do like how some of the quicker ones turned out.

That's all for now. Until next time (hopefully soon).

Friends

Long while since I last posted...sorry to those who've been checking.
I went over to a friends house last night and drew him and his cousin while we were all watching a movie - "Waiting" starring Ryan Reynolds - pretty good, kinda slow at parts but really funny when it's funny. The other drawing is of his dog Hampton, sleeping on his coat.

Scare Tactics Con't

They wouldn't let me post more than 5 images at a time... but I just figured out how.

Character Design Part 2

This is the other character for my lipsync project. The bear who kicks the rooster's ass.

Character Design

Here's the beak character that I'm doing for my lipsync assignment. It's based on a friend of mine and inspired by a situation that took place at the local pub nite. Muzzle character / coloured version coming soon.

Scare Tactics

These are some pages from my conceptual design pack for my little short from last semester entitled "Scare Tactics". The three main characters, of which were required to be a human, muzzled character and a beak character.
These are the three I came up with and I'll be posting some work on how I got to them soon.

Characters

Here are a few character designs that I've done. Just playing around in Alias' Sketchbook Pro and the other ones are drawn with a little thumbnail study for a possible animation...just posing.
